“Art is when you hear a knocking from your soul — and you answer.” ~Terri Guillemets

I am an interdisciplinary academic with a passion for achieving social change through innovative research and creative collaboration. I take an evidence-informed approach to creating solutions for a variety of present-day problems, ranging from climate change to the housing crisis, from loneliness to health and wellbeing, and from unemployment to social justice.

I have collaborated with charities and industry partners to understand the needs of various stakeholders, which informs my research development. I also organize many public engagement events to bring together a variety of stakeholders, including members of the general public, academics, industry partners, policy practitioners, and others. These events encourage engagement with the research process, deliberation on the issues at hand, and a creative approach to finding solutions. I use an array of art methods to involve stakeholders in working together to co-produce, co-create, and co-develop a vision for the future of public policy. I also organize public engagement events to share my research findings through various creative methods.

The goal is always to make policymakers and other stakeholders active participants in the project cycle. Other methods used to influence policy include producing policy documents, project reports, and communicating project findings through art mediums, visual formats, documentaries, and other video mediums.

I am also passionate about capturing stories of change through various formats, including visual storytelling, video mediums, and community projects.
